Explosion-Proof Electrical Inspection

Explosion-proof electrical inspection is a periodic inspection conducted on electrical equipment in use. Its core purpose is to identify and rectify potential issues arising during equipment operation in a timely manner, thereby minimizing the risk of explosion accidents to the maximum extent. The inspection is carried out in accordance with the standard AQ 3009-2007, which specifies the specific inspection items, procedures and acceptance criteria.

The inspection scope mainly covers the following aspects:

Type Selection of Explosion-Proof Equipment

Verify the rationality of equipment type selection, such as whether appropriate explosion-proof electrical equipment has been selected in line with the grade of explosive hazardous areas. Unreasonable situations shall be avoided, including installation of equipment with protection grade Gc in Zone 1, or selection of dust explosion-proof products in gas explosive environments.

Explosion-Proof Installation and Maintenance

Check whether the installation and maintenance of equipment comply with relevant standards. Key items include whether flameproof equipment is installed directly against walls, whether flameproof surfaces suffer from rusting or insufficient fasteners, and whether nameplates are missing.

Cable Selection and Wiring

Examine the rationality of cable selection and wiring. Specific items include whether the cross-sectional area of earthing cables is no less than 4mm2, and whether wiring is conducted above pipelines for explosive gases heavier than air.

Inspection Frequency

In accordance with the provisions of Standard AQ 3009-2007, periodic inspection shall be carried out at least once every 3 years for electrical equipment in use, and an official inspection report shall be issued.
